Pesto is a traditional Italian sauce originating from Genoa, composed primarily of fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil. Renowned for its vibrant green color and aromatic flavor, pesto is a versatile condiment that enhances a variety of dishes. Ideal for pasta, sandwiches, pizzas, and even as a dip, pesto adds a burst of fresh, savory taste.

Toast your pine nuts in a dry pan over a low heat
Put your basil, parmesan, lemon juice, olive oil, pine nuts and garlic cloves into a blender and blitz until smooth
Add your tomatoes into a pan with olive oil and cook until soft and the skin begins to brown
Toast your sourdough, and add your ricotta, tomatoes and pesto.
We like to finish with our Seasoned Greetings pizza seasoning, and some fresh basil leaves.
